Dr David C. Yu is an ivy-league educated board certified periodontist.

He received his DMD from University of Pennsylvania, his post-graduate dental residency certificate (AEGD) from Columbia University, and his periodontic specialty certificate along with a Master in Medical Science from Harvard University.

Dr Yu was the first author of a Harvard tomographic-anatomical study related to implant placement published in 2014 in the Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research, currently one of the top two dental implant journals in the world.

Knowing the values of healthy natural dentition to a person's long term health, he advocates saving, preserving, and maintaining teeth through conservative time-tested periodontal treatment modalities. He is also knowledgeable and experienced in placing dental implants to replace missing teeth.

He has been at this practice in UTC since March 2012.
